WHO WE ARE
MENTORS Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides exemplary reentry housing and supportive services. Since our formation as a small prison vanpool program in 2016, we have grown to serve thousands of Los Angeles’s most disadvantaged community members each year through two community centers and three reentry housing facilities. We know the mark that a criminal record leaves on individuals, families, and communities. Our individualized services are designed to empower clients to live lawfully and break the pervasive cycle of criminalization, incarceration, and recidivism in our community.

MENTORS Inc. works to enhance the dignity and quality of life for justice-impacted individuals and families by strengthening communities of color, eliminating barriers to opportunities, and helping those in need reach their full potential through solidarity, learning, and the power of work.
WHAT WE DO
Family Services and Community Centers:
We are proud to offer a variety of services and programs at our MENTORS Community Centers in South LA and Lancaster. Our centers are designed to be all-in-one drop-in resource centers. Across our two locations, we feature a computer lab and game room for kids, a dance room, a kitchen, a communal backyard area, a gym, and a music studio.
Reentry Services and Housing:
We specialize in reentry services and care. Since opening our first interim housing facility in October 2019, we have increased our number of beds to 120 and have successfully delivered individualized case management, employment support, social and emotional interventions, and family reunification services to hundreds of recently incarcerated clients.
